  • 3 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 10 oz Mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat until fully liquid.
  2. Add the mini marshmallows to the pot and stir constantly until they are completely melted and smooth.
  3. Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the Rice Krispies cereal into the marshmallow mixture and mix thoroughly until all the cereal is evenly coated.
  5. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan using a buttered spatula or wax paper.
  6. Allow the treats to cool completely at room temperature before cutting them into squares and serving.

Notes

For extra festive flair, add a few drops of green or red food coloring to the marshmallow mixture, or sprinkle with holiday sprinkles before they set. Ensure you press them firmly into the pan for well-formed treats.
