Ingredients

Turkey Base
  • 12 Fresh Strawberries
  • 1 cup Melting Chocolate (milk or dark)
  • 1/4 cup White Melting Chocolate
Decorations
  • 24 Candy Eyes
  • 36 Candy Corn
  • as needed Orange Sprinkles (or small orange candies for beaks/feet)

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Microwave-Safe Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Small Piping Bag (optional)
  • Toothpicks (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare your workspace.
  2. Melt the milk or dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until completely smooth.
  3. Dip each dry strawberry into the melted chocolate, covering about two-thirds, then place it on the prepared baking sheet.
Decorating
  1. While the chocolate is still wet, attach two candy eyes near the tip of each strawberry.
  2. Gently press three pieces of candy corn into the back of each strawberry's chocolate coating to form the feathers.
  3. Melt the white chocolate, then use a toothpick or small piping bag to create small orange sprinkles or candy for the beaks and feet on the turkeys.
Finishing
  1. Chill the turkeys in the refrigerator until the chocolate is fully set, which should take about 15-20 minutes, before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping in chocolate. You can use different colored candies or sprinkles for varied "feather" designs.
