  • 8 oz Egg Noodles uncooked
  • 2 cans (5 oz each) Canned Tuna drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1.5 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese divided
  • 1 cup Frozen Peas
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Butter melted
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook egg noodles according to package directions; drain well.
Assembly
  1. In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, frozen peas, salt, and pepper. Add the cooked and drained noodles to the mixture, stirring gently to combine.
Baking
  1. Pour the noodle mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter, then sprinkle evenly over the casserole. Top with the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and the topping is golden brown. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of garlic powder or onion powder to the sauce. You can also substitute the peas with other frozen vegetables like mixed vegetables or corn.
