Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a bowl, combine the softened butter and shredded cheddar cheese until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  2. Gradually mix in the flour and salt until a soft dough forms, then chill the dough for 15 minutes.
  3. Roll small portions of dough into 1-inch balls, place them on a baking sheet, and create an indentation in the center of each.
  4. Fill each indentation with a small spoonful of hot pepper jelly.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges of the appetizers are golden brown.

Notes

For best results, ensure your butter is softened but not melted. You can prepare the dough ahead of time and refrigerate it.
