  • 2 cans crescent roll dough Use gluten-free if needed.
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted For brushing on top.
Cheesecake Filling

  • 1/2 cup sugar Use sugar alternatives for lower-sugar versions.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar For dusting before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather all ingredients.
Mixing
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and the large egg. Beat until smooth and creamy.
Assembling
  1. Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and lay it in the bottom of a greased baking dish, pressing the seams together.
  2. Spread the cheesecake filling evenly over this layer of dough.
  3. Take the second can of crescent rolls, unroll it over the cheesecake filling, sealing the seams.
Final Touches
  1. Brush the top layer of dough with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes, dust with powdered sugar, slice, and serve warm.
