Ingredients
  

Brownie Layer
  • 1 batch prepared fudgy brownies cut into 1-inch cubes
Pudding Layer
  • 2 (3.9 oz) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 cups cold milk
Whipped Topping
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Garnish
  • 1/4 cup chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips

Method
 

Assembly
  1. Prepare the instant chocolate pudding according to package directions using cold milk; set aside to thicken.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  3. Arrange half of the brownie cubes in the bottom of a large trifle dish, then spread half of the prepared pudding over the brownies.
  4. Carefully spread half of the whipped cream over the pudding layer, then repeat the layers with the remaining brownies, pudding, and whipped cream.
  5. Garnish the top with chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips.
  6. Refrigerate the trifle for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the layers to set and flavors to meld.
