  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Light brown sugar packed
  • 1 Large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Dried cranberries
Orange Glaze
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons Fresh orange juice

Method
 

Cookies
  1. Cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in the egg, orange zest, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in the dried cranberries.
  5. Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto a prepared baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden.
Orange Glaze
  1. While cookies cool, whisk together powdered sugar and orange juice until a smooth glaze forms.
  2. Drizzle or spread the glaze over the cooled cookies.

Notes

Ensure butter is softened but not melted for the best cookie texture. Do not overbake to keep cookies soft.
