- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
- Prepare the cookie dough layer by creaming together butter and sugars, then mixing in eggs and vanilla. Gradually add flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined, then fold in chocolate chips. Press this dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Arrange a single layer of Oreo cookies directly over the cookie dough.
- Prepare the brownie batter according to package directions or your favorite recipe, ensuring it is smooth. Carefully pour and spread the brownie batter over the layer of Oreos.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownie layer comes out with moist crumbs. Do not overbake.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before lifting them out by the parchment paper and cutting into squares.
