Ingredients
  

Cake Base
  • 1 box white cake mix Any brand will work fine.
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
Poke Filling
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • Food coloring (red and blue) For patriotic decoration.
Toppings
  • 1 cup whipped topping Or whipped cream for a lighter option.
  • Fresh strawberries For decoration.
  • Fresh blueberries For decoration.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven according to the cake mix instructions.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and bake according to package directions.
  4. Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  5. Use a fork to poke holes all over the top of the cake.
Filling and Decoration
  1. In a separate bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk with red and blue food coloring to create a patriotic effect.
  2. Pour the colored condensed milk over the cake, ensuring it fills the holes.
  3. Allow the cake to cool completely, then frost with whipped topping.
  4. Decorate with fresh strawberries and blueberries on top.

Notes

Serve the cake chilled. Cut it into squares for easy serving and garnish with extra berries or whipped topping. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
